ABOUT LEGIONS OF STEEL

Legions Of Steel is run by Yorkshire metal fans, for Yorkshire metal fans. It doesn’t matter what you’re into – be it thrash, doom, power, grindcore, black, death or mainstream metal, you will be made welcome here!

So what will you find on the site? First of all, this is meant to be a friendly community to unite all fans of metal within the county of Yorkshire. Join our forums and discuss your favourite bands, arrange meet-ups for local gigs and events or just post about complete nonsense!

There is also a section featuring profiles of metal bands in the Yorkshire area. Profiles will have a brief description of the band, photo, details of any demos or albums plus a link to the bands MySpace or website so that you can check them out for yourself!

You will also find a list of recommended pub and club nights in the Yorkshire area, as well as a gig guide. If you run a metal night or you are a promoter/in a band and you want your gig or night on the site then please contact us via legionsofsteel@ntlworld.com.

The site will feature CD reviews of Yorkshire based bands and reviews of gigs in the Yorkshire area (so even if Slayer come to Leeds it will be reviewed here!) Hopefully in time you will also find interviews with some of the big names to emerge from this fine county. We are looking for writers in the Yorkshire area to contribute to this site, so if you fancy writing a review for a gig you have been to or a demo you have heard then please get in touch via the above e-mail address.
